What you need
- Aniimo on Windows, played with keyboard and mouse.
- A Stream Deck, Stream Deck XL, Stream Deck +, Stream Deck Neo or Stream Deck Mobile, with Stream Deck software 7 or newer.
No plugin is needed. The profiles use only Stream Deck's own hotkey, volume and folder actions. There is no profile for the Stream Deck Mini: five folders and a back key would fill all six of its keys with nothing but navigation.
1. Install the profiles
On the Elgato Marketplace. Get the profiles from their Marketplace listing; the Stream Deck software installs them for you.
There is one profile for each device, and two for Stream Deck Mobile. If you have a file instead, double-click the one for your Stream Deck and the software adds it to that device, leaving everything you already have alone.
2. The hub and folders
Each profile opens on the hub. Press a folder for that part of the game, and the arrow at the top left to come back. Keys are colour-coded by folder, and the chip in the corner of a key is the keyboard key it sends: a chevron instead means the key opens a folder.
| Folder | What is in it |
|---|---|
| Idyll | Interact, Climb, Jump, Track, View Details, Gestures |
| Battle | Skill 1 and 2, Ultimate, Mobility, Chain Ultimate, Lock On, Aniimo Combat Mode, and your four Aniimo alongside |
| Aniimo | Switch to any of the four, Twine, Aniimo Party, the Aniilog, Aniimo Management, Combat Mode, Character, Index |
| Pages | Map, Inventory, Character, Quests, Index, Snap, Quick Snap, Events, Elite Training, Institute Guide, Shop, Rules, Switch Quest Type, Support |
| Homeland | Home, Home History, Home Aniimo, Plot Management, Home Building, Home Warehouse |
On the 15-key Stream Deck, Map, Inventory and Quests are repeated inside the folders, so you rarely need to go back to the hub. The Stream Deck XL hub holds 27 everyday keys on its own.
3. Stream Deck + dials
Aniimo has no axis the way a building menu has rotation, so each dial pairs two keys that belong together: turn left for one, right for the other.
| Folder | Dials |
|---|---|
| Hub | System Volume, Aniimo 1 / 2, Aniimo 3 / 4, Skill 1 / 2 |
| Idyll | System Volume, Mobility / Twine, Aniimo 1 / 2, Snap / Quick Snap |
| Battle | System Volume, Skill 1 / 2, Ultimate / Chain, Aniimo 1 / 2 |
| Aniimo | System Volume, Aniimo 1 / 2, Aniimo 3 / 4, Mobility / Twine |
| Pages | System Volume, Snap / Quick Snap, Aniimo 1 / 2, Skill 1 / 2 |
| Homeland | System Volume, Home History / Home Aniimo, Aniimo 1 / 2, Snap / Quick Snap |
The Stream Deck Neo has the same eight keys without the dials.
4. How the keys work
- Every key presses the key the game already uses, read off the game's own Settings, Controls screen. Your keyboard is untouched.
- The chip in the corner of each key shows which key that is, so the deck doubles as a reference: Mobility is T, Combat Mode is J, Quick Snap is F8.
- If you have rebound something, or a patch moves a default, change that one key in the Stream Deck app: select it and type yours into the Hotkey field. Nothing else in the profile is affected.
5. What is not on a key
Four things are left off on purpose, rather than sitting there doing nothing. Attack and Catch are the mouse buttons, and a Stream Deck key sends keyboard keys. Dash, Switch Aniipod and Show Cursor are Shift, Ctrl and Alt, held rather than tapped, and a key press cannot hold a modifier. Push to Talk is held too. And movement is WASD, which belongs under your left hand.
Troubleshooting
| What happens | What to try |
|---|---|
| Keys do nothing | Click into the game first. Stream Deck sends keys to the window in front |
| A key does something else | The binding was changed in Settings, Controls. Reset that action to its default, or retype the key in the Stream Deck app |
| The Homeland keys do nothing | The Homeland unlocks as you play. Until it does, the game has nothing for those keys to open |
| Switch Quest Type does nothing | It is the ` key left of 1; other keyboard layouts move it |
| The profile does not appear | Stream Deck lists a profile under the device it is made for; connect that device and import again |
Frequently asked
Can the keys show my Aniimo's health or my quests?
No. Aniimo does not share live values with other programs, so these profiles stick to controls.
Why is there no Stream Deck Mini profile?
A Mini has six keys. Five folders and a back key would fill every one of them with navigation and leave nothing to press. If you would use one, say so and we will design a smaller layout for it rather than a cut-down of this one.
Does it work on a Mac?
Not at the moment. Stream Deck stores Windows key codes in hotkeys, and the profiles have only been tested on Windows, where the game runs.
Is this made by Pawprint Studio?
No. These are unofficial fan-made profiles, not affiliated with or endorsed by Pawprint Studio. Aniimo is a trademark of Pawprint Studio. The icons are our own artwork, built from Material Design Icons by Pictogrammers.
Something is still wrong.
Email support@teatimeservers.ca with your Stream Deck model and the key that misbehaves, and we will take a look.
