What you need
- Warframe on Windows, with its default keyboard bindings.
- Stream Deck software 7.1 or newer. There is a profile each for the Stream Deck (15 keys), the XL, the Stream Deck +, the Neo, and two for Stream Deck Mobile.
- About three minutes to set twenty-five bindings in the game, once. That is the next section, and it is the only setup this pack needs.
- Nothing else. Every key is one of Stream Deck's own built-in actions, so there is no plugin to install, nothing running in the background, and nothing reading the game.
1. Install the profiles
Submitted for approval. The profiles are waiting for review on the Elgato Marketplace, after being played with on real hardware. This page will link to the listing as soon as it is approved.
There is one profile for each device. Double-click the file for your Stream Deck and the Stream Deck software adds it to that device as a profile of its own, so nothing you already have is touched. The Neo profile is the Stream Deck + one without its dials; the two Mobile profiles mirror the 15-key and 32-key grids.
2. Bind the gear, emote and Omni keys
Warframe ships Gear Hotkey 1 to 12, Emote Hotkey 1 to 12 and Equip Omni with no key at all. That is why the gear wheel is a wheel: there was never anything else to do with twenty-five unbound actions. A Stream Deck fixes that, but the game has to be told which keys to listen for first, and it only has to be told once.
In Warframe, open Options → Controls and stay on the GENERAL tab. Scroll to the Gear Hotkey rows — they all say Not Bound. Click the first one and press the key shown here, or just press the matching key on your Stream Deck, which sends exactly the same thing.

Why those keys. Warframe's own defaults use neither the numpad nor the punctuation keys, so nothing you have already bound is disturbed. Function keys above F12 would have been tidier still — no keyboard has them, so nothing could ever collide — but Warframe will not bind them at all, so the numpad and the punctuation block are the next best thing.
You do not have to use ours. If Numpad 7 is already doing something for you, bind Gear Hotkey 7 to whatever you like and change that one key in the Stream Deck app: select it and type the new key into the Hotkey field. Nothing else in the profile is affected.
Gear keys only do something when that slot has an item in it, and emotes want you standing still, so test them somewhere calm rather than mid-mission.
3. The hub and folders

The hub keeps the five folders, your four abilities and Transference, melee, the gear wheel, the context action, the level map and the menu. On the XL there is room for the first four gear slots and the first four emotes as well.
4. Stream Deck + dials
Abilities 1 / 2 and Abilities 3 / 4 put a pair on each dial, turn left for the first and right for the second. Switch / Melee is switch weapon one way and melee the other, and the first dial is system volume.
Each way you turn a dial is a single key press, so only things that genuinely come in pairs are on them. Next and Previous Power are the mouse wheel in Warframe and stay there.
5. How the keys work
Every key except the ones you bind yourself sends Warframe's own default binding, read row by row off the game's Options → Controls screen rather than from a wiki. Abilities are 1 to 4, Transference is 5, melee is E, the gear wheel is Q, the context action is X.
Warframe players remap more than most, so if you have changed something, change that one key in the Stream Deck app the same way as above. The key on the deck will still show the old binding in its corner until you re-render it, which is cosmetic.
Nothing that has to be held is on a key — sprint, dodge, hold to crouch, aim glide — because a key press cannot hold a key down. Movement, aiming and firing stay where they are.
Troubleshooting
