The Overview in the Large slot. Every session in these pictures is made up, drawn by the widget from a test file.

In testing. Exile Dashboard is built, against the current game, and is going through its first run on the XENEON EDGE. This page will say how to get it once that run has checked it on the screen itself.

What it shows

The Overview

The zone you are in, with its act or endgame tag, area level and your time there; the session time, maps and areas run, your average map time, deaths and trades; your character's level and class, the levels gained this session and how long each took; and the last whispers, with trade requests as the item and the price.

The pages

  • Maps: the map you are in and its time, maps run and the average, and every area run this session with its time, newest first. A map you enter again through its portal counts once.
  • Character: your level and class, the level-ups this session and how long each took, the time at your current level, and deaths this session and across sessions.
  • Whispers: the last ten whispers you received, newest first. The Whispers tab gets a dot for two minutes after a new one.

The game's log has no experience points, so there is no experience bar: the widget shows what the log says, and says so.

The Maps page in the Large slot, set to show that page alone. Maps panel: a bronze tag, In this map, Withered Orchard in large type, 6 minutes in it, 3 maps run, 11 minutes average, area level 72, areas run 5. Areas this session, 5, in two columns: Withered Orchard, Map, level 72, 6 minutes; Mirewood, Map, level 70, 12 minutes; Glass Dunes, Act 2, level 22, 18 minutes; Saltglass Shore, Map, level 70, 10 minutes; Rotting Fen, Act 2, level 23, 9 minutes.

When something is missing

The widget says what is missing instead of going blank, and fills in by itself once the figures flow again.

  • Waiting for Exile Deck: nothing has written the file yet. It says what to install and tick. After a minute it says Still waiting, and what to try (see the FAQ).
  • Start Path of Exile 2 once: the game has not made its log on this PC yet.
  • Path of Exile 2 is not running, with your last session in one line.
  • The feed is off: the plugin's widget setting is unticked. It says where to tick it.
  • Stream Deck is not running: the file has not changed for a minute.
  • Update Exile Deck or Update the widget: the two are from different versions.

At the character select the zone panel keeps your last zone, tagged At the menu.

What you need

  • A Corsair XENEON EDGE, on Windows.
  • iCUE 5.51 or newer. Earlier versions cannot let a widget read a file.
  • Exile Deck, our Stream Deck plugin, on the same PC, with its setting Write a state file for a Xeneon Edge widget ticked (it is on unless you turn it off).
  • Path of Exile 2, through Steam or the standalone client. No mod.

Feeding it

Path of Exile 2 writes a log as you play, and that log grows to hundreds of megabytes. A widget cannot follow a file that big, so Exile Deck does: it reads the end of the log as it grows, works out your session, maps, character and deaths, and writes what it found to one small file, %APPDATA%\ExileDeck\state.json, every two seconds while Stream Deck runs. The widget draws from that file.

Start Stream Deck with Exile Deck once before you add the widget in iCUE. That makes the folder the widget reads, and iCUE only watches a folder that existed when the widget was added. If you placed the widget first, remove it and add it again, or restart iCUE.

What it reads

The widget reads one folder, %APPDATA%\ExileDeck, where Exile Deck writes its file, and only that file in it. That is all: no other folder, no address on the internet, and it only reads. Exile Deck can leave whispers out of the file with its setting Include whispers in it.

Sizes and settings

You choose the size in iCUE when you place the widget: Small, Medium, Large or Extra Large, across or upright. Every page is laid out for every size; small sizes show the zone and the session, and the least needed lines go first instead of the type shrinking.

In the widget's settings in iCUE you can:

  • Show the dashboard (the Overview with touch tabs), or one page per widget (Maps, Character or Whispers), so you can place several Exile Dashboard widgets side by side;
  • turn the page tabs on the dashboard off;
  • pick a 12-hour or 24-hour clock;
  • set the text, accent and background colours, and the background transparency. The Edge theme's colours are respected.

Tap a tab to turn the page, and tap a long list for its next rows.

What it can and cannot do

  • It reads one file on your PC. It sends nothing, stores nothing and writes nothing. Nothing about your session leaves your PC from the widget.
  • It cannot press anything in the game. Taps only change what the widget shows.

Frequently asked

Do I need a Stream Deck?

Yes, for now. The widget shows what Exile Deck reads from the game's log; there is no separate program to write the file without it.

It says Still waiting.

Start Stream Deck with Exile Deck, and check that its widget setting is ticked. iCUE can only watch a folder that already exists, so if you added the widget before Exile Deck had ever run, remove the widget and add it again, or restart iCUE.

Why does it show times to the minute?

The file changes every two seconds, and figures to the minute mean most of those changes leave the screen as it is, which keeps the Edge smooth.

Is this made by Grinding Gear Games or Corsair?

No. Exile Dashboard is an unofficial project made by TeaTime, not affiliated with or endorsed by Corsair. This product isn't affiliated with or endorsed by Grinding Gear Games in any way. Path of Exile 2 belongs to Grinding Gear Games, and XENEON EDGE and iCUE are trademarks of Corsair. No game logo, artwork, font or screenshot is used: every picture is drawn in code, with panels, glyphs and text.
