Attention panel, 1: Alclad Aluminum Sheet: no machine making it, in amber.
The Factory overview in the Large slot. Every factory in these pictures is made up, drawn by the widget from test data.

In testing. Foreman Control Room is built, against the current game and mod, and is going through its first run on the XENEON EDGE. This page will link to it once that run has checked it on the screen itself.

What it shows

The Factory overview

Every circuit's use against capacity, with batteries and the peak; what your factory makes each minute; the session, with the game clock, day or night, time played, players online, sink coupons and the milestone ship; and Attention: blown fuses, batteries running out, peak use over capacity, stuck trains, drones and trucks, items no machine makes, and a player hurt, red first. When nothing is wrong it says All running.

The same Large overview with problems. Small red dots on the Power, Production and Logistics tabs. Power panel, 2,100 MW of 2,000 MW: main grid, red dot, 1,960 MW of 1,850 MW with a full red bar, peak 2,100 MW in amber, batteries 19%, empty in 4 minutes in red; circuit 2, amber dot, 140 MW of 150 MW, peak 140 MW. Production as before, except iron plate at 61.5 a minute with net minus 33.5 in red. Session as before, with ship ready in green. Attention panel with a red 9: main grid batteries empty in 4 minutes, and Coal Run: derailed, in red; then in amber, main grid: peak use 2,100 MW is over capacity 1,850 MW; Bauxite Express: no power; Steel Shuttle: signals; Plastic Hub: no fuel; Truck: deadlocked; and 1 to 7 of 9, tap for more.
When things go wrong: Attention lists them worst first, and the tabs get a dot. Made-up factory.

The pages

  • Power: every circuit (the biggest is the main grid), use against capacity in amber from 85% and red from 95%, peak use, batteries with their charge and time to full or empty, a blown fuse, and your power switches, on or off.
  • Production: every item by what its machines can make, made per minute against the maximum, used and net, and Running short: items used faster than they are made.
  • Storage: your containers, most first, and the Dimensional Depot against its limits.
  • Logistics: trains, drone ports and trucks, what each is doing, where it goes next, its speed or round trip, and why one is stuck.
The Logistics page in the Large slot, set to show that page alone, in three panels. Trains, 3 stuck: Bauxite Express, amber dot, No power, to Refinery North; Coal Run, red dot, Derailed in red, to Power Plant; Manual Loco, green dot, Moving in green, 30 km/h; Steel Shuttle, amber dot, Signals, to Ore Yard. Drone ports, 1 stuck: Battery Drop, blue dot, Docked, to Main Bus Port, trip 1 minute; Computer Port, Loading, to Factory Port, trip 4 minutes; Plastic Hub, amber dot, No fuel, to Main Bus Port. Vehicles, 1 stuck: Truck, Deadlocked in amber, to Quartz Dock; Truck, green dot, Driven, to Quartz Dock, 71 km/h.
The Logistics page with trains, drone ports and trucks. Here the widget is set to show the Logistics page alone. Made-up factory.

When something is missing

The widget says what is missing instead of going blank, and comes back by itself once the figures flow again.

  • Waiting for your factory: nothing answers yet. It says how to start FRM's web server, and how Foreman Deck helps for a game on another PC.
  • Waiting for Foreman Deck: set to read Foreman Deck's file, and the file is not there yet. After a minute it says Still waiting, and what to try (see the FAQ).
  • Stream Deck is not running or Stream Deck closed: the plugin writing the file was quit.
  • The feed is off: the plugin's widget setting is unticked. It says where to tick it.
  • Foreman Deck gets no answer from FRM: the plugin is running but cannot reach FRM.
  • Update FRM in one panel: that version of the mod does not serve what the panel needs.

What you need

  • A Corsair XENEON EDGE, on Windows.
  • iCUE 5.51 or newer.
  • Satisfactory 1.2 with the Satisfactory Mod Manager and Ficsit Remote Monitoring 1.5 or later, a community mod by its own authors. Start its web server with /frm http start in the game's chat, or turn on its autostart in the game's Options, Mods.
  • For a game or dedicated server on another PC, or FRM on a port other than 8080: Foreman Deck, our Stream Deck plugin, on this PC.

Feeding it

The widget has two ways to your factory:

  • FRM on this PC. With the game on the same PC, the widget asks Ficsit Remote Monitoring itself, on localhost port 8080. No Stream Deck needed.
  • Foreman Deck's file. Foreman Deck reads FRM wherever it runs, at any address and port, and writes what it reads to %APPDATA%\ForemanDeck\state.json every two seconds, with its setting Feed the Foreman Control Room widget on (the default). That covers a game on another PC and a dedicated server.

The setting Read from picks the way: FRM on this PC, else Foreman Deck (the default), FRM on this PC only, or Foreman Deck only.

To use the file, start Stream Deck with Foreman Deck once before you add the widget in iCUE. That makes the folder the widget reads, and iCUE only watches a folder that existed when the widget was added. If you placed the widget first, remove it and add it again, or restart iCUE.

What it reads

The widget asks FRM on this PC, at localhost port 8080, for what it draws, and only reads: it never uses FRM's switches or anything else that changes the game. It also reads one folder, %APPDATA%\ForemanDeck, where Foreman Deck writes its file. That is all: no other folder, no address beyond this PC. It does not read a dedicated server's own API.

Sizes and settings

You choose the size in iCUE when you place the widget: Small, Medium, Large or Extra Large, across or upright. Every page is laid out for every size; small sizes show power and Attention, and the least needed lines go first instead of the type shrinking.

In the widget's settings in iCUE you can:

  • Show the Factory overview with touch tabs, or one page per widget (Power, Production, Storage or Logistics), so you can place several Foreman Control Room widgets side by side;
  • turn the page tabs on the overview off;
  • pick where to read from (above);
  • pick a 12-hour or 24-hour clock for the time of the last update;
  • set the text, accent and background colours, and the background transparency.

Tap a tab to turn the page, and tap a long list for its next rows.

What it can and cannot do

  • It reads FRM on this PC and one folder. It sends nothing elsewhere, stores nothing and writes nothing. Nothing about your factory leaves your PC from the widget.
  • It changes nothing in the game. Taps only change what the widget shows.

Frequently asked

Do I need a Stream Deck?

Not when the game runs on the same PC: the widget reads FRM itself. For a game or dedicated server on another PC, yes: Foreman Deck reads it there and writes the file the widget reads.

It says Waiting for your factory.

Load a save and start FRM's web server with /frm http start in the game's chat (or turn on its autostart). Check that FRM is installed and enabled in the mod manager.

It says Still waiting for Foreman Deck.

Start Stream Deck with Foreman Deck, and check that its widget setting is ticked. If you added the widget before Foreman Deck had ever run, remove the widget and add it again, or restart iCUE.

Can I flip a power switch from the widget?

No. The widget only shows. Power switches flip from Foreman Deck's keys.

Is this made by Coffee Stain Studios, FRM's authors or Corsair?

No. Foreman Control Room is an unofficial project made by TeaTime, not affiliated with or endorsed by Coffee Stain Studios or Corsair. Satisfactory is a trademark of Coffee Stain Studios AB, and XENEON EDGE and iCUE are trademarks of Corsair. Ficsit Remote Monitoring is a community mod by its own authors. No game logo, artwork, icon or screenshot is used: every panel, bar and glyph is drawn in code.
