What it shows
The dashboard
- You: your level, HP, hunger, EXP and the stat points waiting to be spent.
- The time of day: the clock, the day count, a day-and-night bar and how long until the next sunrise or sunset.
- Your party of five: each Pal's name, level, HP and hunger, with a warning when one is starving, sick or low on sanity.
- Looking at: the Pal you aim at, wild or yours, with its level, gender, HP and distance, its HP, Attack and Defense talents and its passive skills.
- Every base: how many Pals work there, and how many are sick, hungry or low on sanity.
- In hand: the weapon you are holding.
The pages
- Party: each slot in full, with hunger and sanity bars, talents, passive skills, condenser stars and trust.
- Bases: every base summed, each base on a line, and the workers that need you most first (sick, then hungry, then low on sanity), with their base.
- You: your character, the stat points you have put into each stat, the time of day and the weapon in hand.
- Looking At: the Pal in your sights on its own page, with its talents large, every passive skill, condenser stars, soul upgrades and trust.
Tabs that tell you where to look
On the dashboard with its page tabs, the tabs carry a dot: green on Looking At while a Pal is in your sights, red on Party or Bases when a Pal there is sick or starving. The Edge is a touchscreen, so a tap on a tab opens that page, and a tap on a long list shows its next rows.
When the game is closed or at the title screen, the widget says so instead of going blank, and everything comes back by itself when you load a world.
What testing has shown so far
On our own Edge the party, the bases, you and the Pal in view all come through. A few readings are still partial in this version: the weapon in hand appears only partly, the time of day can come without the game's day or night flag, and the weather is not read. We will say so here as those improve.
What you need
- A Corsair XENEON EDGE, on Windows.
- iCUE 5.51 or newer. Earlier versions cannot let a widget read a file.
- Palworld on Steam, on Windows, with UE4SS, the mod loader. The Pal Deck page shows how to install it.
- The PalDeck mod, 1.1.0 or newer; we recommend 1.1.1. Despite the name it works without a Stream Deck. Download it from the Pal Deck page.
The mod
Palworld has no way for other programs to see into the game, so the widget uses the UE4SS mod we made for
Pal Deck. From version 1.1.0 it also writes what the game shows you to one file,
%APPDATA%\, once a second while you play, and the widget draws from that
file. The Stream Deck keys and the widget read the same information. Version 1.1.1 does its once-a-second update
in smaller steps, so the game no longer stutters every second; that is the one to get.
Download the mod from the Pal Deck page and unzip it into UE4SS's
Mods folder as that page describes, or, if you use Pal Deck on a Stream Deck, let its
Install the mod button do it. It is open source (MIT), so you can read exactly what it does:
github.com/AussieH/pal-deck-mod. If you already have an
older version, replace it with 1.1.1.
Start Palworld once with the mod before you add the widget in iCUE. The mod makes its
PalDeck folder itself at the title screen, and the widget needs that folder to be there to watch it.
The permission prompt
The first time the widget runs, iCUE asks whether Palworld Dashboard may access a folder. The
folder is the mod's, %APPDATA%\, where it writes its state file, and it is the only thing
the widget asks for: one folder, read only, and no network at all. Your saves are elsewhere, and the permission
does not cover them. Allow it and your world appears. If you deny it, the widget keeps waiting and tells you what
to do.
Sizes and settings
You choose the size in iCUE when you place the widget: Small, Medium, Large or Extra Large, across or upright. Every page is laid out for every size. Big panels grow their type, and small ones drop the least needed lines rather than shrinking the text to fit. A list too long for its panel says how many rows it holds; tap it to see the next ones.
In the widget's settings in iCUE you can:
- Show the whole dashboard or one page (Party, Bases, You or Looking At), so you can put one big dashboard on the Edge and smaller Palworld Dashboard widgets beside it;
- switch the page tabs on the dashboard on or off;
- use a 12-hour or a 24-hour clock;
- set the text, accent and background colours, and the background transparency. The accent colour is the open tab.
What it can and cannot do
- It reads the mod's state file in one folder on your PC. No network, no account, nothing stored, and the widget writes nothing; nothing leaves your PC.
- It shows only what Pal Deck's keys already show: your party, your bases' workers, you, and the one Pal you aim at. No positions, no other players, no list of wild Pals.
- No cheats: the widget only reads. The mod only reads the game and writes its state files; it never changes your game or save, and it does not touch dedicated servers.
Frequently asked
Do I need a Stream Deck?
No. You need only UE4SS and the PalDeck mod. The mod is named for the Stream Deck plugin it was made for, but the widget reads its file directly, and you can download it by itself.
Can I use it with Pal Deck at the same time?
Yes. One mod feeds your Stream Deck and your XENEON EDGE together, with the same readings on both.
It says Waiting for Palworld.
Start Palworld once with PalDeck 1.1.0 or newer in UE4SS's Mods folder, and allow iCUE's permission
prompt. iCUE can only watch a folder that already exists, so if you added the widget before the game had ever run
with the mod, remove the widget and add it again, or restart iCUE. If it asks you to update the Pal Deck mod, your
copy is older than 1.1.0.
It stopped working after a Palworld update.
UE4SS is tied to the game's version, so after a Palworld update the mod waits until UE4SS catches up. The Pal Deck troubleshooting has more.
Is this made by Pocketpair or Corsair?
No. Palworld Dashboard is an unofficial fan project made by TeaTime, not affiliated with or endorsed by Pocketpair or Corsair. Palworld is a trademark of Pocketpair, Inc., and XENEON EDGE and iCUE are trademarks of Corsair. No game art, Pal images, icons, logos or fonts are used: every picture is drawn in code, in the style of Palworld's own menus.
