Submitted for approval. Zomboid Dashboard is waiting for review on the Elgato Marketplace. This page will link to the listing as soon as it is approved.
What it shows
- Health: the health number, a body map coloured by each part's wounds (bleeding parts pulse, treated parts are outlined in green), the Overall Body Status in the Health tab's own words, and the hurt parts worst first with the tab's lines: Bitten, Laceration, Fracture, Bandaged and the rest.
- Moodles: the ones showing, worst first, as the game's round discs in its colours, with their level.
- Time and weather: the HUD clock, the date and day survived, the weather and temperature, and whether you are indoors or out.
- The utilities countdown: in single player, the time left before the power and water go off, worked out with the game's own rule. On a multiplayer server it shows only whether they are on or off.
- Hands and weight: your weapon with its condition, edge or rounds, your off hand and its light, and the weight you carry against what you can carry.
- The vehicle: once you are in a car, a speedometer, fuel, the engine, the lights and the Mechanics window's Overall Condition.
- Survivor: zombies in sight and chasing, kills, days survived and endurance, when there is room.
When the game is closed, at the main menu, loading or after a death, the widget says so instead of going blank, and your survivor comes back by itself when a save loads.
Pages and the car dashboard
- Pages, like the Stream Deck plugin: Health (every hurt part), Moodles, Vehicle, Mechanics (every part by condition, worst first), Character (profession and traits), Skills (the game's level squares, boost colours and the arrows while a skill book works), Protection (bite and scratch for each body part) and Temperature.
- Tap to move between them: the Edge is a touchscreen, so tabs along the top open each page, and a tap on a long list shows the next rows.
- One page per widget: the Show setting fixes a widget to one page, so you can put a big dashboard beside small widgets for your moodles or your skills.
- Inventory: your inventory laid out like the game's inventory window, with your main inventory, each bag you wear and your key rings as sections with their weight, and every item with its count, category, weight and condition. It needs Stream Deck Bridge 1.4.0.
- The car dashboard: in a car the dashboard switches to a speedometer, fuel and engine gauges, the engine, lights and battery lights and the gear, and switches back when you get out.
- It follows you: get hurt and it turns to Health; damage the car and it turns to Mechanics; after 20 quiet seconds it turns back. Tap a tab and it stays yours. Each has its own setting.
What you need
- A Corsair XENEON EDGE, on Windows.
- iCUE 5.51 or newer. Earlier versions cannot let a widget read a file, so the widget says it needs 5.51.
- Project Zomboid Build 42 (on Steam).
- The Stream Deck Bridge mod, 1.4.0 or newer (1.3.0 works without the Inventory tab). Despite the name it works without a Stream Deck.
The mod
Project Zomboid has no way for other programs to see into the game, so the widget uses the small client-side mod
we made for Zomboid Deck. While you play it writes what your survivor knows
about themselves to one file in your Zomboid\Lua folder once a second, and the widget draws from that
file. If you already use Zomboid Deck, you already have it.
The easy way is to subscribe to Stream Deck Bridge on the Steam Workshop, and Steam keeps it up to date. You can also download it from the Zomboid Deck page, which has the steps for installing it by hand (use one way, not both). It is open source (MIT), so you can read exactly what it does: github.com/AussieH/zomboid-deck-bridge. Then start the game, switch on Stream Deck Bridge in Mods, and load a save (for a save you already have, switch it on in that save's own mod list too).
The permission prompt
The first time the widget runs, iCUE asks whether Zomboid Dashboard may access a file. The file
is the mod's state file, %USERPROFILE%\, and it is the only thing
the widget asks for: one file, read only, and no network at all. Allow it and the survivor appears. If you deny
it, the widget keeps waiting and tells you what to do.
Sizes and settings
You choose the size in iCUE when you place the widget: Small, Medium, Large or Extra Large, across or upright. Larger slots show more windows side by side. Smaller ones keep the health number and drop what has no room, rather than shrinking the text to fit.
In the widget's settings in iCUE you can:
- show or hide moodles, time and weather, hands and weight, the vehicle, and zombies and kills;
- show or hide the shutoff countdown, if you would rather be surprised;
- use the game's units and clock, or metric, imperial, 24-hour or 12-hour;
- set the text, accent and background colours, and the background transparency.
What it can and cannot do
- It reads one file on your PC. No network, no account, nothing stored; nothing leaves your PC.
- It shows what the game shows you. A hidden zombie infection never appears (the mod never reads it), and debug-mode extras never show, even in debug mode.
- The utilities countdown is single player only, so nobody gets an edge on a server.
- No cheats: the mod changes nothing in the game.
- In multiplayer a mod has to be on the server for a client to load it, so it works where the server runs it.
Frequently asked
Do I need a Stream Deck?
No. You need only the Stream Deck Bridge mod. It is named for the Stream Deck plugin it was made for, but the widget reads its file directly.
Can I use it with Zomboid Deck at the same time?
Yes. Both read the same file, so one mod feeds your Stream Deck and your XENEON EDGE together.
The widget says it is waiting for Project Zomboid.
Check the mod is switched on in the game's Mods menu, and in the save's own mod list for a save you already have, and that you allowed iCUE's permission prompt.
Is this made by The Indie Stone or Corsair?
No. Zomboid Dashboard is an unofficial companion made by TeaTime, not affiliated with or endorsed by The Indie Stone or Corsair. Project Zomboid is a trademark of The Indie Stone, and XENEON EDGE and iCUE are trademarks of Corsair. No game art, logo, font or screenshot is used: every shape is original and drawn in code.
