What you need
- Stardew Valley 1.6 on Windows, with SMAPI 4, the game's mod loader.
- The Stardew Deck Bridge mod, below: it shares what the keys show.
- Windows 10 or 11 with Stream Deck software 7.1 or newer. Any Stream Deck works; the Stream Deck + gets dials and touch strip images too.
- Optional: Generic Mod Config Menu, which puts the mod's settings, including the Spoilers and Cheats switches, in the game's options.
1. Install the mod
Ready. The mod is the release build the plugin was submitted with. Install it now; the plugin follows as soon as the Marketplace approves it.
Download Stardew Deck Bridge 1.1.0
- Unzip it into the game's
Modsfolder, so you haveMods\StardewDeckBridge. - Start the game through SMAPI. The SMAPI window says
Listening for Stream Deck on 127.0.0.1:52817.
It works alongside other mods, including large expansions: festivals, villagers, fish and bundles that mods add show up too. With Generic Mod Config Menu installed, the mod's settings appear in the game's options.
2. Install the plugin
On the Elgato Marketplace. Install Stardew Deck from its Marketplace listing; Stream Deck loads it automatically and there is nothing to configure on disk. It comes with a ready-made profile for every Stream Deck.
3. The keys
Every key is in the Stardew Deck category. Leave titles empty; the keys draw their own.

| Players | In multiplayer: who is online, where, and who is in bed | The next player |
| Letters waiting and their titles | The next title | |
| To-do list | Your open to-dos | Opens the list in the game |
| Open menu, Toolbar, Zoom, Audio, Screenshot | Menus, the toolbar slot, the zoom level, a volume slider, a map screenshot | Opens the menu, picks a slot, zooms, mutes, saves the picture |
4. Pages on the deck
Some keys open a page with a key per item, with Back and paging: the calendar (the next four weeks, a week to a column on an XL), friends, fish (why a fish is not biting: another season, rain only, a time of day), bundles (what each still needs), quests, the cart's stock (with prices, the items you want first), what you have never shipped, and to-dos. Press a villager for their gifts, or a bundle for its items, and each gets a page of its own, one item per key.
5. Stream Deck + dials
On a Stream Deck +, every information key draws a wooden image on the touch strip, and its dial moves through what it shows. Audio puts the game's four volume sliders, music, sound, ambient and footsteps, on the four dials: turn to change, push to mute. Toolbar and Zoom work on dials too, and the Energy dial turns to a graph of the day's energy.
6. The to-do list
Press L in the game, or a To-do key, and the list opens in the game: type a
to-do and press Enter, click one to change it, tick it off or remove it, and press Esc to close. The to-do page on
the deck has a key per item; press one to tick it off, and Clear removes ticked ones. Each save
and farmer keeps its own list, in the mod's folder rather than the save file. The SMAPI console takes
deck_todo add water the greenhouse and deck_todo list too.
7. Mod settings
Install Generic Mod Config Menu (GMCM) and the
settings appear in the game: the cog on the title screen, or Options → Mod Options once a save is
loaded, under Stardew Deck Bridge. Without it, the same settings live in config.json
in the mod's folder. They are: EnableCheats (off by default), AllowActions (whether keys may open menus, pick slots, zoom, change the volume and take
screenshots; information is always shared), TodoMenuKey (L by default) and
Port.
A Spoilers section decides what the keys may tell you before the game would: gift tastes
(everything, only the tastes you have discovered, or nothing), heart events, whether fish you have never caught
show as ???, whether the never-shipped list is shown, whether villager keys say where the
villager is right now, and whether the Mines key counts the ore on your floor (off unless you turn it on).
8. What it can and cannot do
- The mod listens on
127.0.0.1only: nothing outside your computer can connect to it. - It reads what the game already shows you, and the keys only do what you could do yourself: open menus, pick a toolbar slot, zoom, change the volume, take a screenshot, and keep your to-do list. Nothing is written to your save.
- Cheats are off by default. If you turn on Enable cheats in the mod's settings, a Cheats page can add gold, refill energy, freeze the clock, move time forward, set tomorrow's weather, grow or water every crop, and warp: the same things CJB Cheats Menu does. Until then every cheat key says cheats off.
- Heart events are checked with the game's own rules; the key says who and where, never what happens.
- It does not go online, and the plugin's log never records your farm, farmer or villagers.
Troubleshooting
| The key says | What it means |
|---|---|
| game not running | The game is closed, or started without SMAPI, or the mod is not in Mods |
| on title screen | Load a save |
| update the mod / update the plugin | The two versions do not match; update the older one |
| not now | The farmer cannot open a menu right now, such as during a cutscene or festival |
| actions are off | AllowActions is false in the mod's config.json; information still works |
If another program already uses port 52817, change Port in the mod's config.json and
Mod port in any key's Settings to match.
Frequently asked
Does it work in multiplayer?
Yes, for your own farmer: each player can run the mod and plugin on their own computer. Farm counts cover the shared farm; friendships, gifts and to-dos are your own. The Players key shows who is online, where they are and who is already in bed.
Will it spoil gift tastes?
Only if you ask: a villager's gifts appear when you press their key.
Is it made by ConcernedApe?
No. Stardew Deck is an unofficial fan project, not affiliated with or endorsed by ConcernedApe. Stardew Valley is a trademark of ConcernedApe. Every icon is original pixel art made for the plugin.
Something is still wrong.
Email support@teatimeservers.ca with what the key says and the lines mentioning Stardew Deck Bridge in the SMAPI window, and we will take a look.
